Universal Studios

The kids had a 5 day weekend and I wanted to use our Universal passes one more time before they expire. Jared couldn't go so I drove down by myself on Wednesday (Kinda felt bad ditching Jared on Valentines Day but we wanted to get to the park early Thursday).

We got there when it opened and went straight to Hogwarts! The whole day was awesome! Not busy at all! The longest line we waited in was about 20 minutes.

We drank lots of butterbeer!

Honeydukes

We ate lunch at the Three Broomsticks. I love this place. The food is really good and the ambiance is just fun!

After that we went to do a few rides. Lyla was excited because she was tall enough this time to do all the rides. We did the Mummy, Transformers and Jurrasic Park.
Waiting in line to take the studio tour

After exploring the rest of the park, we went back to the Harry Potter area.

We did the wand experience then Lyla bought a new wand.

Last time we were here the Waterworld show was closed so we went this time and we all really enjoyed it. Lots of guys riding around on boats and jet skis, fighting, fire, and getting wet (The kids sat in the splash zone and got SOAKED!)
...and back to Hogwarts one more time before we left for the evening.

The next morning we woke up and got the park early. While we were in line waiting for the park to open, Jared sent me this text...
Adalynn grabbed my phone and had the following conversation.
We were all so exited! Jared flew to CA early and had Josh pick him up from the airport. What a fun and totally unexpected surprise!

Look how different they all are. This was in April 2017.

We stayed until dinner then left and grabbed something to eat with Josh.

Saturday morning we woke up and checked out of our hotel. The girls really wanted to see the Hollywood sign so we drove up to the Griffeth Observatory but it was SO busy and we couldn't find anywhere to park. We drove through some random neighborhoods until we got a good view of it, took a picture then headed home.
