Valley of Fire

We went to Valley of Fire for Presidents Day for a little hike. The kids just love trying to climb the tallest rock they can find. And explore every hole and crevice. They could spend days on one hike alone.

This trail was fun because there were quite a few petroglyphs to look at.
On our way home,  I made the kids change to get pictures. They always hate this, but I beg and bribe and usually they cooperate for a few minutes.

I recently learned how to add skies to photographs. It is not something I will do a lot (it is a little time consuming) and I'm still learning how perfect it, but I like what it can do to a photo. When you shoot at dusk and are trying to get your subjects exposed correctly, it seems like the sky gets blown out...Anyways...here is an example...
