Two weeks after Washington, the kids and I were on our way to Utah. My nephew's baptism was this month and the day after was the Christensen family reunion. The kids and I wanted to go early to spend more time with cousins.
We went to Tooele to spend a few days with Sean and Sam in their new house. It was my first time in Tooele...such a cute little town with some really pretty views!

 All the kids before church
Sean and Sam have bunnies and my kids LOVED holding them.
One night we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. It was fun. Eli cracks me up with his Martinelli's and hot dog.
This was at Parker's Park.

 Devin's Dugout
All three of my kids are in love with Ruby. But I think Devin loves her the most. He couldn't get enough of her. Lyla, for some reason, can't remember her name is Ruby and calls her Rosie all the time.

Sam and I took picture of Ruby. Here are a few that I liked. She has the prettiest eyes!

We had a party for all the cousins with summer birthdays.
Wednesday we left Tooele and drove to Salt Lake to stay with Michelle and Justin. Devin had been asking me all week for a cone at Macy's. He got the ultimate which was SO much ice cream!
Friday was Parker's baptism. We hung out in the morning...that night we had a dinner and Parker opened presents. I copied my Mom and made him a CTR towel.

That night was the baptism It was such a special day! Michelle and Justin gave the talks and did a great job. It was very personal, which I loved. So happy for Parker and love him so much!

The next day was the Christensen family reunion. I really only took a few pictures. They always have it at this park and I just think it is beautiful!

My Little Pony Party

Lyla's My Little Pony Party
At first I didn't want to do a party for Lyla because we have been gone a lot this summer and there were only about 2 Saturdays in the whole summer that would work. But for months she has been talking about having a party and I've never had one for her, so we went for it.
In the end, I actually had a lot of fun planning it. She just loves My Little Pony so choosing a theme was easy.
Here is her invitation.
Before her friends arrived

A few treats I made. We also had pizza, fruit and veggies.

Her cake.

I found a place in Vegas that rents out ponies and will bring them to your home. I knew Lyla would love it! I was worried about it being too hot or too sunny, but we had an unusually cool week so it was perfect. All the kids (a few were nervous at first) loved it.

After the ponies left we played pin the cutie mark on the pony and painted pictures of ponies.

Blowing out her candles.
Goodie Bags
About an hour after the party ended the kids and I got in the car and drove to Utah!

July 4th

I love the 4th of July! I was at the eye doctor earlier this week and the receptionist told me she didn't really like the 4th of July. I almost walked up to her and smacked her on the head! Really?! I love everything about it...the food, fireworks, patriotic songs on the radio, being with family and friends and of course the whole reason we celebrate it. I love our country! And I'm very grateful for the many freedoms we enjoy.

Speaking of food :) We made patriotic homemade oreos.
A little home decor

Happy Fourth!

We went to the Howard's block party.

The girls got their faces painted. Super Cute!
