Thanksgiving 2012

Another Thanksgiving in Arizona. We left early Wednesday morning and stayed until Sunday. It always goes by so fast. The kids were so excited to go. As we were leaving Jared told them we were going to go to Disneyland instead...most kids would be pretty excited about that, but they both started wailing and crying because they wanted to go to Grandma's house.  haha!

Thanksgiving day.

My aunt and 5 of her kids were there so it was a full house. Two of my siblings (Steph and Johnny) weren't there which was a bummer.

My dad cooked 30 turkeys in the pit. And like always everything was amazing. He cooked two extra ones for me to take home--which we take apart and vacuum seal so they are good for months.
My mom goes all out and makes everything from scratch...which I think tastes way better. Her rolls, the stuffing, and all of the other side dishes...amazing. I can't imagine doing Thanksgiving by myself here in Vegas. No thanks!

I don't know why I took so many pictures of Adalynn (and other people) in my mom's crazy wigs...but I did. My mom also pulled out all the dress up boxes. After raising 6 kids and saving all our costumes and dress up clothes, there was a lot. And Adalynn loved it.

Oh James! That hair and the mustache! He kept telling everyone it was no shave November...can I get a woot woot that we only have one more day until December?

Johnny and Josy came up today! We went shooting, of course. I shot clay pigeons for the first time, and I was pretty terrible.  And don't you love Josy's little baby bump in the second picture? My nephew, Tyler, will be here in less than two months!

We had a family party for Devin's birthday.

A few more photos of the kids. Devin is now into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
And the night before we left, we went to Pizza Hut for dinner.  Adalynn was out...I was wondering when almost four days of playing hard and staying up late was going to hit her.

Devin with two of his favorite people--my mom and dad. I'm not sure I have mentioned this on my blog, but Devin calls my parents almost every day. And they talk and talk. He will sneak my phone and go upstairs and I will find him huddled in a corner just chatting away. He tells my mom things that he doesn't even tell me. They talk about his day, about things he likes, about their plans for our next visit. I can't even express how much I love this bond they have. It makes me so happy that even though we live far away they are still close.

I hope everyone had an equally wonderful Thanksgiving! We all have so much to be thankful for!
