The rest of the Pre-Christmas Activities

Even though Christmas has come and gone, I wanted to post a few other things we did in December.

One night we headed to Town Square to play in the snow. It was cold and rainy---so even though it was soap bubbles they were spraying all over us, it felt like a real (albeit mild) snowstorm.

I didn't take pictures but after we went with our neighbors to this house that was decorated with lights and synced to music---we just had to tune our radios to the right station and we had a free light show.

Another night we took the kids to Henderson to the Ethel M Cactus gardens to see the lights...it was crazy crowded so we walked through quickly, got our free sample of chocolate and left for the carousel.

Riding the carousel is one of my favorite things we do every year. We went to the District and they had free rides so we let the kids ride over and over and over. Addie kept telling us, "Just one more ride!" and we couldn't say no. We finally left when Lyla was cold and crying. We grabbed some dessert from The Cheesecake Factory, which was delicious, of course. Gosh it was a great night!

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention this because I have no photos, but I want to remember it. We took the kids to the Live Nativity put on by a stake here in Vegas. It was phenomenal. It is outside, but they have a stage and lights and wonderful music. They had a donkey, some sheep, and horses, which the kids enjoyed. During the performance Adalynn kept asking, "Where is the baby Jesus?" She was really into it. Afterwards you can walk up and see the Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus and both kids loved that. It was definitely a reminder to me of what Christmas is all about.

I grabbed this photo from the Internet....
