Valentines Day

Valentines Day was nuts! I usually go all out and make a valentines breakfast, lunch and dinner, but my ultrasound and dr appointment threw my whole day off. I didn't really do much for the kids. But, my awesome mom sent them a huge Valentines box which had a little bit of everything so I felt like they still had a great day (with waaaayyy too much candy).

My favorite wreath
And this year I added this...
I love the crepe paper balls--They are totally going in Addie's room next.
I also love to decorate for the holidays, but don't like spending a lot of money on decorations. Other than Christmas, I have very little. So I try and add one or two things each year for those other holidays.
I made these 2 years ago. Starting Feb 1st I leave the kids a small treat or gift each day after school/nap.

Devin gets so excited for holidays. I think he started asking about Valentines Day right after Christmas. And he is already wondering when we can decorate for Easter. Here he is writing his name on all his valentines.

Opening the package/cards from my mom. Thank you so much Grandma!

I did buy them a few balloons, but that was really all I did for the kids.

The best part of the whole day was Jared and I got to go out for dinner, just the 2 of us. Which never, ever happens. My friend offered to watch the kids (she is the best!!). We went to Famous Dave's, which was good. It was perfect way to end a really great day.

Here are the videos....

They seem more interested in the suckers than the new baby. Oh well.
And I sorta sound like a crazy person!

Baby #3

Oh for crying out loud. I have been trying to load a video of Devin and Adalynn telling everyone if we are having a boy or girl, but I'm giving up (it has been about 5 hours). Maybe I can try again tonight...

We had our ultrasound today. Our little baby looks healthy--Jared made sure the ultrasound tech found all limbs and fingers and toes. And I was wrong...I thought for sure we were having a boy, but it is a girl.

We are EXCITED!!

Birthday Party and Date with Devin

Today Adalynn went to her friend Courtney's birthday party. The whole thing was fun for her--

Devin was disappointed when I told him he couldn't go, but as soon as I told him we could do something special---aka go on a "date"--while Addie was at her party, he was excited. I told him he could eat anywhere he wanted. So he chose the fanciest place in town...

Devin loved it. And so did I. Adalynn and I spend a lot of one-on-one time together when Devin is at preschool, but Devin and I don't get to very often. So we ate lunch and talked.

Then I didn't feel like going home so I let him choose one more place to go. He really wanted to go to DI. The places we go for our kids! While we were there, though, we found a large bucket of small legos for $4 and I have been looking for assorted legos on Craigslist and Ebay for a while so we were pretty excited to find them. Here are the kids playing with them after we picked up Adalynn.

Oh yeah, we also went to the party store. And Devin reeeallly wanted these

Time to clean the spiderwebs off my blog--again. I was talking to my sister-in-law the other day and I told her I just feel like nothing has been going on. At least nothing blog worthy.

Plus Devin got some sort of stomach flu Sunday night...and then Addie got the same thing Tuesday. And of course after taking care of the kids and being thrown up on a number of times, I got to experience the same thing Wednesday. I swear after this week (and the last two months) I have had enough throw up to last a lifetime. Luckily it only took a day for each of us to get over it.

On a happier note, look what my sweet visiting teacher brought me. Every time I see these, they just make me happy. What is it about flowers that do that?

Today we went to the park. Nice day. Might as well take advantage of it.
