Thank you!

Thanks for everyone's opinion about our family pictures! You guys are the best. I decided to go with #1--I agree with my friend Katy--I chose the one I thought I looked best in...yes, that sounds vain, but the kids and Jared also look good in that one. Anyways, thanks!

Pretty soon I'm going to have to change this to the "Pictures of Adalynn blog." Believe me, I only post about 1/10 of what I take (or less). Most of the time she is either a. In a bad mood b. Won't smile or ever look at the camera c. Looks like a little bum or d. Has a huge scratch or bruise on her face (right now she looks like she was in a fight or something--she feel out of the swing Saturday morning and has a few big scratches on her face). Sooo....when she looks cute and is cooperating I post.

I'm not sure if I have mentioned this or not, but she loves, loves, LOVES Little Einsteins. Jared and I call them her morning coffee because the first thing she wants in the morning is to watch her show. She is totally dramatic if I don't let her. We have the little action figures and she carries them with her everywhere--if you ask her who her favorite is, she tells you "Leo."

You just don't know how happy this makes me. Especially since the other day at the park a lady asked me how often I cut her hair.

Last Friday we went to Hannah's birthday party. It was a ladybug theme which was super cute. Steph went all out and fed the kids lunch, took them on a nature walk, played games, and made the sweetest little ladybug cake ever.

Steph went out and bought probably hundreds of ladybugs to give to the kids to take home. I didn't even know you could buy ladybugs, but apparently you can. Devin and Adalynn LOVED this. They just sat and looked at them all day and then at night we took them to the park to let them go.

Once we let them go they were everywhere...this little one landed right on my finger.

Just a few we took is getting harder and harder to take pictures of her. She will not sit still and the only thing that I can bribe her with is food--but then I get a lot of pictures of her with her mouth full of goldfish or fruit snacks. She also gets so mad if I suggest she sit a certain way or put the teddy bear down.

My first victim

Once a week I babysit this sweet baby. Her name is Olivia and we all LOVE her. She is seriously the happiest little thing. She never cries and is always smiling. Devin and Adalynn really look forward to when she comes over and love holding her and playing with her. I kinda played dress up with her and took a ton of pictures of her today. Isn't she so cute! I put the a few more on my photography blog. And I am already planning on some more next week.

Ni ...

Today Jared and I have been married NINE years. I won't lie and tell you it has all been roses and teddy bears, but I love him and he loves me and we have a great life. I really do get so excited when I think about the next nine years and what those will bring.

I love so many things about Jared. He is kind and patient. He never looses his temper (I do). He never yells (guilty again). He is the most optimistic person I know. He likes to joke around and can be very sarcastic. He is a wonderful dad and loves his kids more than anything. He is a hard worker and has gone through so much to provide for our family. He really helps me achieve my dreams. He likes to have fun. Material things are not important to him. He is easy to talk to and makes new friends all the time. He is very smart. He stands up for what he knows is right---I could just keep going forever but lets just say we are a good match and I don't think anyone could put up with me as well as Jared.

Happy Anniversary Jared! I love you!

My studio is about half ways finished. It has been a lot of work and figuring things out, but a lot of fun also. Today I grabbed Adalynn (even though she looked like a ragamuffin) and took a few pictures of her to get used to it. See her lip? She did a major face plant the other day on the street. Good thing she is tough.
I was also thinking I want to start doing some free shots--maybe one a week just for practice until I get the hang of things. My kids get so sick of me taking pictures of them! If anyone is interested, let me know!
