Some Thanksgiving Awards

Just some awards I thought of for our Thanksgiving this year.
(A lot of the pics are from my sister-in-law Sam who took over 400 pictures--Thanks Sam!)

"Best Traveler"

Didn't make a peep the whole time. Which is why we looove his DVD player. Oh and the Worst Traveler award goes to...ADALYNN. Cried a good part of the drive. Thankfully it was only about 2 hours.

"Best House"
For Thanksgiving this year Jared's family all met in St. George. We stayed in a super nice home (worth 2.5 million) which was amazing. I loved it!

"Best View"

"Cutest Babies"
We were so excited to get these two girls together. Lexi is only 2 weeks older than Addie. And she is amazingly cute. I looove her. It was fun taking pictures of them together. Sam made their tutus--so cute!

"Best Facial Expression"
Goes to Lexi. Hands down.

"Best Toy"
It got the babies attention every time.

"Best Thanksgiving Dinner"
Dinner was de-lish!

"Best Birthday Party"
Devin turned 3 on Thanksgiving. We celebrated with Wall-E ice cream cake and some presents on Friday though.

"Cheesiest Grin"
I bet you thought Devin would win this one. It was close, but Aaron took the win.

"Cutest Sisters"
Michelle and Andi. Yes, they are gorgeous.

"The Hottie Award"

We got some family pictures taken while we were there. This is just one I took of Andi and Josh.

"Best Handoff"

"Best Grandpa"
Jared's dad will all his grandkids.

"Best Group Hug"

Best "Outlaws"

"Best Spider Impression"

"Best Scream"

I have never in my life heard a baby scream the way Addie does. It is ear piercing.

"Best Cross Dressers"
It is my goal to get as many embarrassing pictures of these two together. Think of all the fun we will have when they are teenagers.

"Best Couple"
We played the Celestial Companion game while we were there and JOSH and his roommate KYLE did amazingly well. Way better than Jared and I.

"Worst (and Best) Bowler"
Jared was the best and Devin was the worst. In case you were wondering.

"Most White Trash Thing I did"

Yes, yes. I am nursing. In the bowling Alley. Yet another reason why I would love it if Adalynn took a bottle.

"Best Freak out"

"Best Crash"

"Cutest Baby in a Swimsuit"

She loved the hot tub.

"Best Temple"
Isn't the St. George Temple wonderful! We went the last night to see the lights. It was a nice way to end our trip.

Blogging out of boredom...Part 2

You guessed it. Jared is at school.
I'm a little bored, so I thought I would blog about rice cereal (which is such an interesting topic, I know). Bear with me.

I started rice cereal...sorta. I wasn't planning on starting until she was a little older but I have been so frustrated lately because she is so grumpy. Not sure if she is just being a bit dramatic, but she really acts like she is starving. I have tried giving her a bottle after I nurse, but she won't take it. And when I am gone at class, she will not eat for Jared. Period. So I was hoping the rice cereal would fill her up and keep her happy.

First of all, she hates it. She seriously tries to swallow it, but it makes her gag, and then she throws up. Second, I think she might be allergic??? She has this terrible rash allover her back and stomach. And it started the same time I started the cereal. :( So, for now, no more rice cereal. And wow. She is already big enough for this.

A little par-tay for Devin

So I went to Twilight Friday morning at 12:01 A.M. Came home and fed Adalynn at 3:00. And Devin woke up at 6:00. Oh, and did I mention we had a birthday party for Devin Friday evening. Man I was (and still am) tired.

We invited some friends over to celebrate Devin turning 3. His birthday isn't until Thanksgiving--I guess his b-day will be on Thanksgiving every 7 years--but we wanted to do a little something before that.

It was fun. We had pizza and the kids played and decorated their own cupcakes. It felt a little more like a get together for the parents, which was also fun. We have awesome friends!

Alright people. I know most of you will see Twilight this weekend, or have already seen it, so I want to know what everyone thought??

I went with my awesome friend Rachael at the 12:01 showing. Yes, yes, we were there with all the mega fans. Lots of giggles, squealing, ooohhing and aaaahhhing. I pretty much loved it and am ready to see it again. I thought they did a great job. I loved the cast--really every person was perfect. Tons of eye candy. Everyone keeps asking if it was as good as the book--of course not. But still a good job and I still loved it.

Prison in the Phillipines

If I ever go to prison, I hope it is here.

Dear Skinny Jeans,

After our most unpleasant encounter this morning, I really don't think this is going to work. I was really hoping this time was it. But you have to give a little.

I hope you aren't mad at me for throwing you into a tote for 9 months. Plus a few more. I really didn't have a choice. I want you to know it is not you--it is me. Maybe we can give try again in a few months.

Until then I will be thinking of you.

Maybe killing cockroaches naked is more fun?

I'm not sure how many of you have cockroaches but I dislike them for 2 reasons. 1. They are FAST and SNEAKY. Many a cockroach has outrun Jared and I. One night Jared ran one under our nightstand but when he moved the nightstand to get it, it was gone. Nowhere to be found. Or NOT. It was hanging upside down on the bottom of the nightstand. Like a ninja or something.

And 2. I just cant stand to squish them. Their hard little bodies really gross me out. So anytime I catch one it is with about 1/2 a roll of toilet paper between both of us (I still fear that the cockroach will get through all the tp and get me) and then it is down the toilet for Mr. Cockroach.

Anyways--Thanks Devin for being my cockroach killer. Even if you are naked while doing it.

This one is for Jared

The other night Jared told me he thought it was so cute when babies play with their feet. So this is for Jared.

Best Friends

Mother Nature and I are best friends today. It feels sooo good outside.

I wonder which half of the necklace she wants?

I wonder when I will have a husband again??

Jared's first final is right after Thanksgiving. Which means he needs to be ready for that final before we leave for Thanksgiving. In order to do that he was gone all day Monday and today. I have my class tomorrow (so I won't see him Wednesday) and I'm sure Jared will have to stay late Thursday. So it looks like it will be Friday before I see him again. I know I should be used to this by now, but finals are killer, for both of us. I keep telling myself, "one more semester, one more semester." Then I remember a little thing called the bar--crap.

Soooo I am blogging purely out of boredom. Nothing exciting happened tonight.

I love her face in this one. It's like she is saying, " you get him off of me? Like now?"

We did make a fun little snack. Every year I make caramel apples, but since I am trying to loose that annoying baby weight, I didn't this year. Tonight we made mini carmel apples. My pictures do not do them justice. They were de-lish.

P.S. In case you are wondering, YES I do dress my son. It seems like anytime I take a picture of him he is just in a diaper. He is just a little nudist at heart or something. And it is Vegas. So it is still nice and warm outside.

Is there a baby under those flowers?

I know, I know. I didn't think I would do this to my daughter. But is she not the cutest thing ever??? Plus, I can tuck her ears into the headbands (yesss).
